I want something quick, simple, clean that also has payment processing built in, obviously recurring billing is a must.

Something that installs on a domain/server is fine.
An app that installs on my computer is fine.
Web based is fine as long as I can badge it.

    Any input is appreciated.
    Thanks

www.whmcs.com works for me I use it for design and hosting invoices as well as ticketing if you need it.

quickbooks. i dont use their payment proccessing though, mostly cause of the ridicolous fees.

I get 1.2% on electronic recurring, and 1.3% on most others.

the only ones that F me in the rear is Amex at 3%

Sorry I did not mention actual processing, I use authorize.net through eonlinedata, you can always use something like 2checkout.com if you want to start out cheap without monthly fees.

They charge more but you don't break even with the transaction % difference or monthly fees (Statement, gateway etc) until you are doing a few grand a month.

oooo, this is interesting. I like this. I signed up for freshbooks last night and it's pretty tight, but it's purely for invoicing and doesn't include any of the services features that whmcs seems to. I'm also about to install whmautopilot and see if I like that.

They have some nice time tracking widgets/iphone app, etc.
They even do some calculations for estimated payments.

WHMCS is nice... I've also seen people use Parallels Business Automation Suite and seem to like it.

I have used them all, the support sucks @ WHMA and I don't know if they released v3 ever but v2 was fully of bugs and everyone was told for like four years v3 would have it all fixed and they just kept pushing it back more and more.

One of the reasons I left Modernbill which I believe is now called Plesk or Parallels something or other now.

If I was going for just a support application I would go for Kayako which has a bit more flexability but for an all-in-one WHMCS is hard to beat. Plus the support is pretty good as well which is a problem I had with every other solution over the years.

I have an account and I put 3 of my customers on it to give it a shot. I'm gonna give it a cpl billing cycles and see if I want to keep it.

The only thing is that it doesn't have other functions pre-built like a cart with x items/services or whatever, other than that it's perfect.

I've heard Billings was good as well. I've used invoicemachine.com a couple times, it is pretty good.
