A&P What do you think of this pic?

    Taken with my D70s at sunset. The composition isn't particularly interesting, but I like the colours and the balance between the warm grass on the bottom and the cool/dark greens and greys of the mountains and sky above.

    other than the grass being blirry and the rule of thirds missing, it's good

    I was going to post that as well...but when you look at the crop he made it does look a lot better to me.

    I would've just taken the shot in landscape rather than portrait. :dunno:

    I agree, but its still an interesting photo. and I agree, not all photos need to follow the rule of thirds.

    I actually took a few versions of that shot and at different exposure levels, but this one just had the best balance of colours and had by far the "warmest" looking grass.

    I agree that a different crop may look better, but like I said, it was the colours rather than the composition that I liked about this picture.
