    Lowepro Mini Trekker AW

    I'm trying to decide between that and the canon 200eg. Are there any others that have the same set up and size as these two? i'd like it to have a strap for a tripod and possibly chest straps

    lowepro =~$92 shipped
    canon =~$35 shipped

    I think bags are shitty.
    I had to haul my friend's laptop and speakers once in a shoulder bag, while carrying a 50lbs backpack on the back.
    Bag was killing me, and the backpack was nothing.
    Besides, a photo backpack looks like a regular backpack, and a cuboid bag hanging from your shoulder is an invitation for thieves.

    Shit, I guess that Lowepro Mini Trekker AW is a backback.

    The Lowepro looks better.
    And I'd never wear a backpack with a Canon logo on it. Even the EOS DIGITAL neckstrap makes me nervous.

    I have the canon 200eg and I just covered up the one little canon logo on the back. I just had some no name backpack and took the patch off of it. Works fine.

    i had the canon for a while. can't get a better bag for the money. however there are better bags. I personally don't like Lowepro that much. I much prefer Tamrac. I use a 5577 right now, and while thats way more bag that you need, the 5575 or even 5573 might work. The straps are awesome, well paded and a actually useful waist belt. Makes long hikes or whatever more pleasant when you don't have all that weight digging in.

    The canon straps are pretty much crap

    I just checked out Tamrac's site, and pictures of the backpacks.
    And shit's beautiful. So much nice gear in so little space.

    yes, its for a laptop. No waist buckle the the backpack doesn't shift a whole lot. The bag was about $30 cheaper than the LowePro I was looking at. I think I got it for around $65 at a local camera shop.
    :mamoru:, thats the Tokina and yes it does. I was using it and didn't turn it around before I put it in the bag to take those shots.

    Hey thats my bag :o

    For $35...I think it is a good bag. But by all means, if you can afford a $100 bag, get the Lowe. The Canon does its job of holding onto my camera when it is not around my neck. But I find that there is not enough padding on the top of the bag, where the back of the camera body would be. And the shoulder straps are a little thin for my liking.
