I am planning to power a 10" JL W3 with this. If you dont like this, what amp would you use in the $150-$170 price range (which is what I would be paying for this amp) Thanks.

For that price, I'd say get that amp, IMO it sounds like a good deal. You do get a full warranty on it right?

Well, it is specifically for that amp. CC employees get a freaking NICE discount on Kicker stuff. I just thought $150 is a pretty nice deal for 400 decent watts. And yes, full warrenty.

everything i've heard from kicker isnt anything impressive especially for their insane prices, i've heard a Hifonics/JL set up and its nice. For the price Kicker isnt very good, bang for buck wise id feel a lot more safe with Hifonics.

If you want to achieve an overpriced system with no sound quality then hell go with kicker.

if you want to get into superiority then JL(theyre over priced as well), USamps, Zapco, and I hear good things about the new amps from Elemental Designs.

Whatever difference you heard it certainly wasnt from the amp.

Yes Kicker amps are expensive, but unlike Hifonics (at least the BX series) the Kicker amp will make its rated power.

Well we know that Hifonics amps make rated power at 14.4v, maybe the kicker is measured at a lower voltage for its rated output?

I am not bashing Hi Fonics, because I used to like their amps a few years back, but in recent years, there have been more than a few reports on different forums when their amps have not been doing ratted power,

online Kicker amps are not priced bad (for the most part) but I feel their quality and power is atleast a step above the Hi Fonics
