I'm following an antagonist training system that's similar. Day 1: 1 chest, 1 back, 1 chest, etc. I like it. :big grin:

Typical 'old school' reply, but who can really tell what routine works and what doesn't? If I try out a new routine for 8 weeks, even 16, and keep everything else constant, the gains I make over this period are going differ by maybe 10% depending on whether my program is solid or not. I want to get that 10% definitely, but I can't tell if it's there by looking in the mirror or evaluating the relative increase in the amount of weight I'm lifting, and neither could you. That's why it's nice to get opinions from those with more expertise and knowledge.

dont you think it would be better if you had rest days inbetween working out your muscles? that's the conventional way of looking at gains, but of course you said your routine is unconventional :dunno:

i used to do this back when i couldnt find time for the gym

saturday: full body (4x10 squats, bench, pull ups(till fail) and 1x10 deadlift)

tuesday: 4x35 push ups, 4xfail pull ups, 3 sets of my ab routine
    thurs: same as tuesday

core got pretty solid from it :o (and basketball/swim/jumprope on the off days)
