    Monday: Chest/Tris
    Tuesday: Off
    Wendsday: Bicepts/Back
    Thursday: Off
    Friday: Shoulders
    Saturday: Off
    Sunday: Off

I don't work my legs due to knee injuries, gotta give them a little more time. During 2-3 of the off days I run 1-3 miles.

Yes, I have cut back a lot on running due to knee injuries and the fact I do wanna gain weight and muscle! Use to run 6-9 miless on the off days.

i do the same thing as you but i have legs on friday in addition to shoulders.

edit: it's been working well for me so far but it's probably just n00b gains. I'm not dramatically overweight but i've lost 15 pounds and added weight to all my lifts. i've been going for about 2 months now, only 1 month of serious lifting (my ex-workout partner was a bitch) and 3 weeks of serious nutrition.

Last time I lifted with my legs, next day I couldn't walk due to stress fractures. Right now for me to run I have high-end shoes, knee braces, and I run on the grass (less impact). I can lift my own body weight just fine and run just fine, but when I was leg pressing and doing leg lifts, I was in a boat load of pain. Unless I just go for doing a low weight at a ton of reps. High weight at a low rep is a bad thing for me currently.

So how is slamming your feet into the ground thousands of times on your off days helping the recovery process?

Currently other then running nothing for my legs. To help with my knee recovery I decreased my mileage and I stopped playing club lacrosse. (My club lacrosse team meets on a turf field, which is VERY bad for knees).

I can 1-2miles just fine no pain, its when I do 3+ a day 5 times a week I run into issues. Also this problem will go away when I stop growing... so far I have a lot less pain compared to when I was 13 and running.
