Milage is pretty bad.. expect 12-14mpg... maintenence can be pretty darn pricey. Best thing to do, in my opinion, is if you find one, take it to a Land Rover Specialist to have them do a full inspection on it. They are pretty fun to drive, and definitely roomy.

Yeah, they are pretty nice inside and out. They drive pretty well also. The things I have run into with inspecting Range Rovers are issues with the Electronic Air Suspension (when equipped), and blown head gaskets, both of which are pretty damn expensive. Make sure those are checked very carefully.

They only put 4 doors on a land rover so 3 mechanics could ride with you. They suck. I wouldn't get one even if I could afford 2.

Go with a newer toyota SUV if you want something good. or a lexus. I've had 3 toyota's in the past and one now and have had better luck with them than any other vehicle.

I would expect the price difference between a '93 Rover to be pretty far less then a newer Toyota or Lexus. Granted a Toyota or Lexus is likely to be more reliable overall, you have to consider how entirely different the vehicles are in how they drive, and everything else. Having owned both, I have had no more problems with a Land Rover then any Lexus I have owned.

its a 4WD SUV, its not supposed to be fast.
I'm sorry if you weren't smart enough to operate the A/C...they do come with manuals though if you know how to read.

Most Land Rovers are decent off road in stock form, but they aren't known for being uber-reliable. They are expensive to fix. They get poor mileage because they never gave us the diesel models.
    Asswipes. :madfawk:

I think the best Land Rover would be the one you swap the motor and drivetrain out of and replace it with something better.

you must be one of those pretentious fucks who only buy things for the status factor...its a shitty suv period. off road???? are you kidding me i seriously doubt that anyone who would pay top dollar for a land rover would put it on a trail. if you want to go off road just buy a jeep its cheeper, easier to work on and if you scratch it you dont have to worry about what the chaps at the yacht club will think of you. good luck with the engine swap though you fucking idiot:slap:

Cost prohibitive. You'd never be able to drive it because all your money would go to things that would be inexpensive on any other vehicle.

Despite going all posh, Land Rovers remain one of the best SUVs to off-road in. They're great. Crappy daily drivers though.
