I never really max out, but I'm curious. I've tried a few times lately, and I'm rather disappointed since I feel like my max should be a lot higher based on the sets I've been doing. Lately, I've been doing 5 sets of 5 reps on the flat and it's really increased my strength. Currently, I do 5 sets of 5 reps, all at 300 lbs. Then afterwards, I'm capable of doing 335-345 for a bonus set of 2 reps. FWIW, I've put up 355 before, but I think it should definitely be higher. So based on that, what should my 1-rep max be?
