I am getting a cable modem this weekend and was thinking of going wireless with the router.
The one I am thinking of getting is the D-Link DI-614+, its the 2.4Ghz wireless Broadband router. I am going to have 2 desktops and a laptop on the network. The router will be about 50ft from the furthest computer in the garage. What do you guys think?
    Thanks

Go Linksys. D-link is one of the worst companies out there when it comes to quality and customer service. :ugh:

Linksys is the same price, if not cheaper.

I haven't had any problems with my DI-614+ that can be blamed on the router.

I have no problems with my D-link - I bought it after the linksys setup I bought refused to work with XP.

That was a while ago so I'm sure its solved by now but D-link has worked perfectly for me - and ALL peripheral companies have shitty service, Linksys didn't help me out one bit.

Dlink makes MUCH better products than linksys. Linksys is commonly known as the lower end of everything. I have a DI-614+ that has worked perfectly since the day I got it, as well as 2 dlink wireless cards (DWL-520 and DWL-520+, both PCI) that work awesome with it too.

Oh yeah, and as soon as you get it, upgrade the firmware, because it resets all your setting when you do it. but the latest firmware upgrade does something that gives it about twice as much range.
