What do you take pre-workout to get pumped up? How is RED BLAST?

    First off, I'm an absolute caffeine junkie. I usually drink a pot of coffee in the morning, a couple cups of green tea, and at least one or two diet cokes during the day. In order to sleep, I need to stop (or so I thought) with caffeine at around 3p.m. Lately, I've been drinking a Monster Low-Carb energy drink right before workout (4:45 or so) and have had awesome workouts with all the extra energy.

    I'm pretty sure that although the Monster is sugar free, it probably isn't that good for me and isn't the most efficient method to get all fired up before a workout.

    I do take creatine, and I've taken an arginine/ornithine combo in the past and liked what I saw, so I started poking around the AF Store and saw Red Blast. Have any of you guys used it, and how would you rate it?

    I'm 197 lbs at 6'0", and currently working out Mon-Thurs going for strength/size: a few sets of 10/12 reps of manageable weight, and then I slowly work down the reps with a heavier weight until 1RM four or five times with 30-second breaks.

    Only supplements right now are a multi and protein (whey, casein, finishing up a little muscle milk).

    Any advice/experiences with RED BLAST or anything along those lines?

    you work down to 1RM 4 or 5 times? every time you go to the gym?

    I'll start on any given muscle group with two sets of 12 to get warmed up.
    Next set (1 minute rest), I up the weight so I can only do 6-8.
    Next set, I up it so I can do 2-3.
    Next set, I up it so I can only do 1. Then I wait 30 seconds, and do another one. I can usually do that 4 or 5 times before exhaustion.

    :dunno: Seems to work for me. :o

    I've really wanted to try ephedrine, but I think the EC stack might not be as effective for me since my caffeine intake/tolerance is already at an unreasonably high level. That's why I'm worried as to whether or not the Red Blast is going to be worthwhile.

    Back when I was a caffeine junkie I got a sample of redblast... 3 caps had me almost bouncing off the walls. It's a STRONG product. Start dosing low so you can dose up as you build tolerance.

    I was the same way, coffee and diet soda all day long. I'm now up to three doses of E/C per day and about 1.5gal of water/day. It's definately helped with energy and weight loss.

    my friend sent me 2 tubs of this stuff called PowerSurge a while back - was the only pre-workout stim I actually liked and felt helped, tasted like grape gatorade too. Ran out of it a month or two ago though

    Those are still huge. I stopped taking it bc taking 10 pills before a workout was ridiculous. Powder would sell more.
