    Hi guys!

    Happy New Year!

I am Mike and I am new in the community. I am still in a holiday mode and trying to motivate myself from getting to work. I am excited to hear your thoughts on this topic. I also hope to meet new friends here, as well.

    Cheers!

Then let me be the first to say welcome! I can't say I am looking forward to anything in 2009 but I am going to try to correct my mistakes from the past two years and try to make my life what I think it should be.

I have quite a few small goals but my main one is to get back into school and pursue a career where I can help others.

Other than that, live life and try to enjoy it as much as I can.

I am looking forward to graduating from college, finding a job, moving out, living with my gf, buying a car, getting a LCD TV, finishing my WH40K army, and the list goes on.

I know it sounds very materialistic, but finally being able to afford my own place just sounds awesome.

Welcome. You have everything to look forward to! I do too. Because this is our lives, and we have an opportunity to choose who we're going to be. That's an absolutely amazing thing!

I have big plans, but their realistic. See my thread on Resolutions. It's on the first page, maybe the second.

    I don't think that's materialistic at all :)

For me - things in general don't look good (economy, tons of people getting laid off...2 in my own family may be facing layoffs soon), but despite that I look forward to:

    1. crossing a few major projects off my to-do list (hopefully this month!)
    2. our side business growing, someday I hope it becomes a full time venture
    3. making time alone for myself
    4. working on art projects
    5. achieving a few certain life goals
    6. whatever opportunity tomorrow, next week, or next month brings
