    I wouldnt.

I rather piece together something with everything that I NEED. And a lot of that stuff is cheap shit anyway.

I'd say no. the 70-300 is the cheap version of that zoom length, a 6gb microdrive? too big IMO.

    Sounds too shady to me.

    Mike,
Try piecing it together and seeing how cheap it is. His auction buy it now comes out to about 1890 shipped, we'll round up to 1900 for convenience.

Let's start off with the main pieces of the package. The D70 + kit lens. There is a hundred dollar rebate on the D70 right now. Butterfly Photo has the D70+kit for 960 shipped. http://www2.butterflyphoto.com/shop/product.aspx?ref=pricegrabber&sku=D70

Next, let's get you a man's flash :coold: a SB800. Buydig has it for 290 shipped, but theres a 25 dollar rebate. It comes out to 265. http://www2.buydig.com/shop/product.aspx?ref=pricegrabber&sku=NKSB800

So now we're at 1,125 after rebates.

Since you don't have a lot of lenses yet, we'll get you a smaller bag. The Lowepro Micro Trekker 200 is a suitable choice (the price is about right too) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=64336&item=7525556953&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW Since he has a buy it now, we'll play fair and pick instant purchase items. ~64 shipped.

Our total is 1189. We still have a bit of money to spend. :coold:

Let's get you a tripod. A MAN's tripod. One you won't have to replace for a while. (the one int he package is cheap and flimsy, guaranteed to break in no time.) The bogen 3001N legs + 3-way head - 140+shipping (approx 15?) http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=222271&is=REG

Our total is 1344 after rebates now. Not too bad, but we're not done. :noes:

Memory. Let's grab two 1gb Sandisk Ultra II's to shoot with. Microdrives introduce moving parts, which could become a liability down the road. These have solid state memory and much faster read/write times. Costco has them for 75 after instant rebate (taken at the check out) since you might not have a costco in the area, we'll buy two from ebuyer (85 each) http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/prod...9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=115917&_LOC=US

Let's grab a compact flash card reader from ebuyer while we're at it :eek3: http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/prod...hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=154469 $15

We're at a grand total of 1529 now... :noes:

Then we'll add a Sigma 70-300mm Macro APO Super II something blah blah for 190

1719 total.. with WAAAY better stuff... :noes: :noes:

almost 200 dollars cheaper too (you can spend that on some filters from eBay :run:.. hoya super multi coated :coold: )

imo the D70s isn't worth 200 more than the D70, esp with the FW upgrade the D70 got, but if you want spend the 200 left over on the D70s. You're still getting a lot better equipment for the money. :)
