What do you guys think of a program that incorporates strength and hypertrophy?

    Say I ramp up to 5 reps for 1 set, drop 10 % of that weight and go for about 7-8 reps, then repeat to go for ~ 10 reps. You think sticking to one is better?

    yes that is a program created to build strength.

    ya strength has nothing to do with size better make sure you dont get to strong

    I understand that you need core strength to build size, that's why i figure why not kill 2 birds with one stone :dunno: but if you guys figure sticking to one is better then I'm not one to dismiss input.

    and is a 5/3/1 program recommended without a spotter? You see I have no friends and doing a 1 rep max might kill me.

    you don't do 1 rep maxes in that program

    also, you will gain plenty of LBM if you pick your assistance stuff right and are eating enough.

    hmm I have the e-book it appears that I am also retarded. So you guys think I should just stick with that program then?

    what would you recommend for assistance? that program has a couple things listed liking boring but big, is the triumvate the best for getting bigger?

    a 10% drop would take you from 5 reps to about 10 reps, at least on the big exercises

    I always respect your opinion, what do you think of it? Just stick with 5/3/1?

    Just do the 5/3/1 do the boring but big and eat. you will get bigger and stronger.
