A&P what do you guys think about these kind of pics?

    hand colored black and white prints done well can be very nice, but selective coloring in photoshop is done too many times on photos it shouldn't be.

    Try it and see if you see the picture or the effect first

    the berries one doesn't work but the two kids one does.

    The berry shot is a little too distracting, plus red and green work well with eachother.

    berries would have been nice if all of the ones in the center were in focus, masked, and the other ones in the lower corner weren't.

    i don't think it's been overplayed...just done too many times on shots that really don't merit it or doesn't bring out anything more in the picture...(does that make sense?)

    overplayed = when even the good stuff looks ho-hum and lame
    the appropriate stuff doesn't look ho-hum and lame
