What do you guys recommend for a home cardio machine?

    I need something for over the winter/bad weather times etc. when I can't ride my mountain bike. What can be had for a low price that is effective

    Though, I beleive I will buy myself a recumbant bike for home in the near future.

    You can find good recumberant bikes for 200-300 bucks. Any treadmill or eliptical at that cost will not last very long.

    hmm, after looking at the prices of decent recumbent bikes and ellipticals, I might have to go with a jump rope :mamoru:

    If he enjoys riding bikes then he would be better off with a spin bike. :o

    Its old and outdated, the Kettler Ergo rower or rower coach would be a better choice for the same price. :o

    I personally have a recumberant bike that I bought for $210.00 and it has lasted 4 years now and I ride it at least 4x per week year 'round. It still looks brand new, all I've had to do to it is replace the belt one time.

    IMO, road bike + trainer would be better than a spin bike... the trainer's portable and you can take the road bike outdoors when the weather warms up... :dunno:

    :werd: I've seen ellipticals, treadmills, and bikes going for under 100. I even found a newer smith machine for like 75 once!
