Hi guys, i'm looking for something to run on my PC besides backups, AV, [email protected] while my PC is idle. Anyone have any ideas to put my PC to good use while i'm not at it?

suspend the pc when you're not using it. Much better use to save the power than waste it on seti.

I run folding @ home. It folds protiens that may help find cures for alzimers, huntingtons disease, etc. I know there's an OT team, but I'm folding for a different team. Here's the website for the team I'm on. www.joinfolding.com
It's got some info about our team, but the rest of it isn't team specific, so it will give you some idea as to how the project works and then you can make up your mind on which team you want to join.

It's a very worthwhile project IMO, I'm a big believer in it.
