Happened to me at Paralympic wheelchair curling with the 400 2.8 and 600 4.
Handheld for quick shots, and used short wall around the ice sheets, as well as the media desk looking down on the ice. Actually worked out really well.

Ferrari and Nikon long glass. Two very expensive tools

I wanna shoot for F1!!!! Looking forward to Ferrari Challenge the following weekend...they're bringing out the FXX and 599FX, along with 20+ F430 Challenge cars and I'm hoping the F1 Cliente...can't wait. 70-200mm and a Bigma 50-500mm will hopefully do the job.

Its an FIA thing. You get one for any year long credentialed FIA photogs. F1 has a certain range of numbered vests. WTCC touring cars get them too with a different range of numbers, FIA Rally shooters get one with a different range of numbers, etc, etc.

The ALMS also has them for year long credentialed shooters. They are made by Alpinestars this year and were Alpine stars a few years ago. The last couple of years they were Domkes and went back to Alpinestars again this year. I have a couple. :big grin:
