Had a messenger bag Ive been using to carry my lap top from my car to work or from my car to me house. Basically the only time I used to really move it, now with school though I'm going to be carrying it around a lot more so I don't feel comfortable carrying it around in the messenger bag and also there isn't enough room for the cables and other stuff like a note book and other stuff.

Trying to find something that will hold my lap top in it, cord, a book and maybee some other stuff like cds and flash drives. Any ideas?

When I was in college I used a targus backpack. Carried my 16" laptop around along with all my accessories and books. Great backpack.

Now I use a targus messenger bag to get me from home to the office, and when I travel. It's inexpensive and works great.

But if I had to do lots of heavy books for school, I'd stick with the backpack.

I have a regular dell leather case for one laptop and a targus backpack for the other. I generally prefer the backpack.

I have a backpack (Eddie Bauer I think) - has a laptop strap and plenty of pockets and slots for pens, a mouse, power adapter, headset, SID key, badge, etc. Also, makes it easier to get it to/from work on the motorcycle.

I've got a fleather messenger style for mine that I used through college. Usually only had a book or two and a notebook with me and I had enough room (usually notebook on top of the laptop and a book or two in the outside pocket). Still use it when I take the laptop with me which is quite rare these days. Would like to get either one of the targus backpaks or maybe look into a SLR/laptop backpack.

some of these look kind of bulky but something like this really looks like it will get the job done. I found a site that has a few options. My freind got a bag from these guys and it doesnt offer much padding wise but in terms of storage and comfort its pretty good for my every day stuff. Ill post it up when I find it

this looks like it could work out very well to but I dont think I dress nice enough at school or work to justify this lol maybee when I start working in IT lol.

I've got an old Dell bag I carry my laptop in, its decent and plain black with a clean look. I like it even though it is old.

I don't carry a laptop around. I know the admin password on everyone's laptops in my company, so all I have to do is ask to borrow it for a few minutes.

(puts on Ray-Bans) I'm like the agents in the Matrix. I can be anywhere there's a hardwire.

The company I work for gives IT employees laptops only. No one has a desktop, and so if you didn't carry a laptop around you wouldn't have a computer to use. Also the company network is secured in a way that you have to use a company laptop with a secureid to log in from outside the network, so its not even an option to log in from my home PC.

I have a CasePC for my XPS M1210. I don't carry anything else but the laptop and a small portable hard drive.

I used to have (still have somewhere) a huge Targus bag, but I found myself lugging around too much crap in it.
