Well, having an office job... EVERYONE drinks coffee. I'm 22 and have never drank it. I have tasted it, and thought it was disgusting. I just read something though about it being a good way to curb cravings for food and other junk and the caffeine obviously helps with weight loss. I'm on a cut and eating 6-7 small meals a day... but it's leaving me slightly hungry between meals. Unfortunately, there is always donuts and candy and junk here at work to eat. I do really good with not eating it, but I think coffee would help even more.

I've drank a couple cups this morning (black of course... I don't need the cream and sugar in my diet) and I think I could learn to like it if it's worth it.

I've read about it and the effect it has on boosting cortisol in your system which causes weight gain (specifically around the mid-section where I'm trying to lose weight in the first place) But I've also read that coffee is your friend on a cut.

What are your feelings on it?

Actually, current research is really starting to like coffee. Especially WRT antioxidants and so on.

My stance is, if you like drinking it, don't worry about it. If you don't like it, why bother forcing yourself to?

Coffee *drinks* maybe. A cup of black coffee is virtually calorie-free.

But yeah, in reference to the drinking it instead of donuts or whatever- that's a good office trick :coold: I rely on it frequently.

Never really liked coffee... During the winter when Chicago is cold as hell I will once in a while have cup to warm me up, but more often than coffee I am drinking green tea.

I have considered drinking coffee (1 cup a day) but I dont like how people become dependent upon it and it makes your teeth yellow.

    Here is my question:

I am not crazy about coffee in the black form and don't like how it yellows your teeth. But all the benefits that comes along with coffee (aiding in weight loss, giving your workout a boost due to caffeine, curbing hunger, etc...) will drinking green tea have the same effects? I would think so because of the caffeine in it, but I am not sure.

    Here is my answer:

i drink both and drink a bottle of water after the coffee... coffee seems more potent to me...

try if for a month to see if there's a change or find another person with your body type to see if he tried it with success or not... my 2 cents

I don't like coffee either. I do go though periods where I crave Dunkin Donuts coffee light and sweet, but other than that I never drink it.

It has anti-oxidants.... I would just drink some green tea though. Tastes better, less caffiene, hydrates better.
