If you're too stupid to pirate it, maybe you should just be a good consumer and purchase it.

    open up Disk Utility
drag the .dmg to the left lower pane right under the harddrives
click on it (ie select it)
then you should see a burn button the top
    click burn

    2 options

    plug in drive to computer
    put disc in
when it mounts on the desktop procede as normal

    or

    plug in external drive
    put this in
restart computer and hold down the option button
choose what you want to boot from

some external drives are bootable for osx, mine happens not to be. i had to create 2 partitions on my internal hd and put the .dmg on one of them. now i'm trying to find a way to merge that partition with the big one or rename the small one. i dont mind losing the info on the partition that has the .dmg on it

it worked. i'm on it now. i just renamed the install partition to Macintosh HD 2. its only 10gb so its no big deal.

i may just run carboncopycloner and create a dmg on my external, repartition my internal drive to 1 then restore the dmg. not 100% sure if it'll work but it makes sense

How could it not read dual layers? Im pretty sure all DVDs players can read dual layers, in fact its a requirement for te DVD stamp.
