I'm trying to lose some weight (ideally drop 20lbs or so). I've cut back on my calorie intake a lot (down from around 3500-4000 a day, most of the excess made up by alcohol). Added 30-60 minutes of cardio a day to the 5 days a week already lift (will be doing 1+ hour mountain bike rides in addition to the cardio at the gym once it gets nicer out). Currently taking multi-vitamin, green tea, yohimbine, CLA, fish oil, and glucosamine (may start doing some ECA stacks too). I've never had much luck with losing weight even when under the direction of one of the Viking's personal trainers. Carb cycling never worked (high, low, no carb days) either. :wtc:

    Currently 5'10" and 205lbs.

Heres a typical day. Sometimes it's closer to 2000 calories from a bit more protein.

100% real juice man. That's all I have when I wake up and goto the gym each morning. No added sugar and crap plus lots of flavors to choose from. :coolugh:

depends on if you respond to it or not. Nobody will be able to tell you if it works or not besides yourself.
Give that one a go for 4 weeks and see if it works.

Me personally, i run a bit more cals, less carbs and more protein.

Thanks. I'll throw in some more protein. The one shown is a bit carb high cause of the white rice. Don't usually have that.

ditch the milk, juicy juice, bagel, tootsie roll, and white rice.

Aim for 1800-1900 cals, when you look at the plate it should be 3/4 protein. Carbs should be from whole grain sources. Eat more protein... aim for 200g.

Don't make excuses, just do it.

    Wake:
    Cardio w/ BCAAs

Breakfast: Eggs, 1/2 cup oats, protein shake (or turkey bacon, turkey sausage, etc)

Mid morning: Whey and fish oil

Lunch: Lean protein w/ 1 cup brown/wild grain rice and veggies

    Pre Lift: Protein and carbs

    Post Lift: Protein and carbs

Dinner: Lean protein w/ rice and veggies

Snack? Protein and a sugar free popsicle or sugar free jello.

    Do that for a while.

Supplements I recommend: Thermorexin, Glucorell, Sesapure, Levorex, and AIFM. All from the board sponsor.

    lower your carbs.

    go to 50% protein/20% carbs/30% fat

you'll see dramatic fat loss results

Bump your protein and fats up. Fats should come from good sources (EFA's, Olive Oil, etc), protein from lean meat.

Not gonna happen. 4 lbs a week is probably too much unless you are really obese.

fuck yea dude rock on with that juicy juice. I love the apple banana shit, 100% juice. Glass of that first thing in the morning rehydrates, gets some natural sugar into you, and makes you drop gravel like 10 minutes later. I've all but eliminated coffee this way!

No. If you lose too fast you'll lose muscle and you'll end up looking smaller, weaker and not really prettier.

Already bumped it to about 200g a day now.

Haven't seen any issues with a decrease in lifting strength yet. At this point I guess I don't really care all that much if I do lose a bit of strength. Overall strength hasn't really mattered all that much for me for more then a year now (haven't been trying to increase my bench in years or even tried a max rep). I feel I'm plenty strong for my size right now. 4lbs a week in the next 37 days doesn't seem all that much from other weight loss logs I've read. As I've said, most of the calories I've cut out were just beer. I don't think +1000 calories a day from beer were contributing much to my overall strength.

I think its made from 100% real juice, which is a brand, its kind of like McDonalds beef is made with 100% pure beef, which is a brand of beef.

I have plenty of chicken breasts (must be at least 6 x 3 breast packs in the freezer). Making up 10 lean pork chops tonight. Should be tasty. Something a bit different then all the chicken I've had lately. I would kill for a big burger with all the fixin's though.
