Adam - Legend of The Blue Marvel (good beginning so far)
The Flash - It's not begun yet, but the re-launch by Geoff Johns will be quite awesome.
Gravel - It's not Marvel/DC or a superhero book, but awesome magic kinda stuff that's fucked up at times but awesome read. It's at 9 issues atm, so perfect time to get in.
REBELS - New book starting out with intergalactic DC stuff. Good outline so far.
Captain Britain and M13 - Really good superhero/magic kinda stuff. Love it. And it's a good place to start now.
Mighty - Just started this month, seems quite nicely paced and could go places.
Punisher - The new one seems to be good so far and it's just 2 issues in.

Some more, but that's on top of my head. Let's see what others recommend.

Kick-Ass. It is not Marvel or DC but it is only 5 issues in (although they take their sweet time between issues) and it is pure awesome. A very interesting take on the "nobody turned hero" story.

Runaways. I would start at the beginning, but it is around issue 30 I think. Marvel book about the offspring of villains who get together and decide they do not want to be like their parents.

And I 2nd Captain Britain and M13. Not at all what I would have thought it would be. Very much enjoying it.

One of the reasons Kick-Ass is doing so good is that Icon let's creators do whatever the fuck they want, specially in terms of marketing and creativity-wise. Hence the big hype and the movie shit coming out before it's even finished. Fucking shit sucks since they won't be finishing the comic book before the movie comes out. Or they might just aim at that which in any case still sucks since we have to fucking wait months more and it's already delayed as it is.

Invincible. It isn't Marvel/DC, but it is a superhero book. Just imagine Superman's son, and superman ends up being a dick and trying to conquer the world, but his son isn't down. Good book, just hit 60 issues.

The new Deadpool series is still pretty young. Kick-Ass has been awesome, but like the others said, there are going to be long waits until the movie is released.

Bout to check out Invincible soon, I love what Kirkman's done with The Walking Dead.

Deadpool's definitely easy to jump in to.
    X-Factor's cool.
Nova but the current storyline with the corps and etc sucks.

I don't follow any super heroes (it's just a pain in the ass to me trying to get caught up on books that are like 40 issues deep, I don't like feeling like I missed anything), but I'm thinking about checking out the new Batman books that are coming out in June. The Streets of Gotham one looks particularly interesting.

I have a feeling Battle for the Cowl is going to blow (first issue sure did), and so will Batman and Robin.

Yeah, I downloaded the first issue of Battle For The Cowl, it was terrible. I wish there were more DC books I could get into, but it's just constant cheese (not that Marvel's any better, but the only Marvel character I'm at all interested in is Hulk). Any idea how that Trinity book is with Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman? And where should I start for Green Lantern? I've always liked him.

Green lantern Rebirth 1-6, then the new series, that's all you need. (you can get into green lantern corps, but its not really necessary)

also, stay the fuck away from trinity, its a clusterfuck.

What's the best way to jump into Spiderman, Superman, or Batman if I absolutely had to?

idk about DC, but i started Spidey w/ One More day and Brand New Day because it brings a new status quo. After you read that, you can probably just jump right in because most of the stories were pretty stand alone for the most part. Thought i would pick up last weeks #290 and 291 (w/ the FF) as some interesting stuff just happened. Other than that, next week, Spiderman 24/7 starts next week. :dunno:

    Superman would be:

Read: Geoff Johns run of Action Comics (it's brief, but awesome)
New Krypton (Pretty easy to guess what that's one about)

Action Comics should be close to up to date, but if you've read the Geoff Johns stuff and like it, i'll up the newest stuff.
