What counts as equipment-free?

    So I was doing deads yesterday with no straps and no belt, but I used chalk. Am I in the clear?

    I'd say so, chalk just helps you grip the bar, doesn't really change the fact that you still have to grip it.

    chalk just makes hands dry, not in a million years would it be frowned upon.
