Some of the Pics posted in here are amazingly good. Just curious what everyone else uses.

Canon SD1000 here. Love it, but it's horrible for macro shots. It can't autofocus enough for close up shots and the flash always whites out the pic.

I need to setup a light box or something.

Canon G2. I really want a 30D but I keep spending money on firearms.

  3. I use Laurel's Fuji FinePix S700. It takes ok shots as long as there's a lot of light. If the light is low at all, it takes grainy photos.

if I'm at home (and motivated) my xsi. if I'm out and didn't think about it, my touch pro...if i'm out and thought about it early enough to charge the battery I've got a sony cybershot I've had for years that I will take with me (because it's ultra thin and I won't notice it in my pocket)

I've never been much of a camera guy (bad asian). I've got a canon sd100 point and click because I like it's size. It takes decent pictures as long as I compose it correctly. I try to take pictures of guns outside with natural light. This can make up for a bunch of short comings for the camera. We got some super uber hot shit digital SLR at work to take real pictures of guns. Been meaning to take some of my personal guns but I really don't have anything pretty like that. My guns are pure function.

I am a freak about video, especially helmetcam video. I got a Vio POV.1 (headcam 720i) and a sanyo xacti hd1010 (hd camcamcorder 1080p). Sony has some new headcam coming out that is 1080p. Of course I will have to have it.

While I like the higher resolution I am worried about the cable set up. I've had headcams in the past (archos) where it was easy to pull the cable out thus losing your video feed. The POV.1 has threaded cables which is awesome. The shape of the sony cam is stupid too. Going to need a new headband though being square it might be easier to make sure the camera is lined up/down correctly.

Tips to make any photo look better in photoshop:

    1. autolevel the colors (ctrl+alt+L)
    2. sharpen (always sharpen an image once or twice at it's full/native resolution before you resize)
    3. resize
    4. sharpen again and save
