    whats your budget

if its large then do you feel like doing a full system with sound deadening, kick panels, the works? you may also need a deep cycle battery depending on what you want to get if its a large system.

generally u could probably do a budget system for about 500 maybe, that would fit in components, amp for componetns, sub box and amp? (if anyone would like to correct my numbers feel free)

then lets say a mid level system would run about a grand, then about 1500-2500 for a full higher end system.

    ish, give or take :dunno:

Ronin is right with what budget. But also what kind of sound are you looking for...do you want a nice clean sound or do you want some bottom end like one 12" sub, or do you want a clean sound with more bass behind it, 2 or 3 subs?

Also, do you want to keep the appearance of the car stock..like hiding the HU in the glove box or making a phantom box to hide the sub as well?

I'd say under a grand is still going to be near lower end for 2 amps, components, and sub + box (minus wiring, etc). Mid-range for under 2 grand. High-end, at least 2 grand (and that would be eBay prices) and up.

Who doesn't want clean sound? You make it seem like you can't round out the bottom end and still have clean sound...

Multiple subs are nearly pointless unless you are doing it more for looks (which isn't much of a point, but whatever). A 12" sub doesn't make it have more bottem end. A 10" can get lower than a 12" if designed properly.

Anyway, thread starter: give us more info.
