What are your thoughts on carbs while cutting?

    I'm curious where everyone stands in terms of the amount of carbs taken in per day.

    when cutting the only carbs i take in are from veggies. I don't focus on the amount much

    nothing wrong with them as long as you're within your calorie limit and are getting the necessary amount of protein & fat. the more complex the better, but a little simple sugar ain't gonna ruin ya either

    no idea what the actual amount I get in a day. probably not a ton, probably somewhere between 50 and 100g/day, more then likely closer to 50 though

    if i have to eat carbs, i'll eat them all before 4pm. i normally go to sleep around midnight. any carbs taken in after that will be in veggies.

    doesn't bother me unless i go over the RDA/AI.

    I noticed that when I keep my carbs low I do not hold water as much as look more vascular so that keeps me going :hs:

    Here are the average daily macros for my cut so far:

    Calories: 2430
    Fat: 80
    Carbs: 150
    Protein: 280

    My carbs come mainly from oatmeal, brown rice, peanut butter, a little from milk, and a promax bar (38g...it's an easy meal though).

    Ceaze: 6'3" 193 @ 17% or so.

    I try to keep at 150-200 while cutting. Works pretty well, probably not as fast as some other people though.

    My carbs come from whole wheats, oatmeal, veggies. However, after work outs and for breakfast on days after i've lifted I eat White Bread. Testing it from April's Muscle and Fitness lean diet, seems to be working fairly decent so far. Lost like 6 pounds of fat in 2 weeks.

    What if you eat plenty? I eat like 2500 calories a day, 240+g of protein and 150-200g carbs (not sure about fats). I'm fairly satisfied after each of my 8 meals a day.

    I don't change my carb intake when cutting :dunno:

    190g carbs, 220g protein, 62g fat

    I try to get around 100g a day but cycle them around my workouts. Fruit and veggies for the most part unless i eat a cookies after my workout.

    At 2500 calorie intake that would be close to my macro quantities though slightly less protein (250) and more fats (100).

    My fat intake is actually higher when you factor in the 6-10 fish oil caps I take daily.

    What is 2500 calories for you anyway? Cut/bulk/maintenance?
