what are your post workout carbs?

    i dont have any sups for post workout other than protein shakes.

    what should i eat for post workout carbs?

    I mix 30g of maltodextrin in my shake. I'm sure eating a high gi fruit would be fine as well.

    Basically anything high glycemic... especially if your bulking, koolaid, frutopia, gatorade, etc will do the trick.

    For my shake
    80g dextrose along with 40g whey

    For my meal afterwards
    8 egg whites
    2 yams or 8oz of yam or so
    2 rice cakes
    3 pieces whole wheat bread

    Usually around 100g carbs and 50g protein

    My PWO Shake includes:

    1 scoop ON Whey
    1/2 cup oats
    1 large banana

    = 400 calories, 30g protein, 60g carbs, 4.3g fat

    16oz Water

    ...then a meal about 30 minutes after that

    sounds like you guys are basically using sugar as your postworkout carbs.

    i thought that was a nono?

    Similar to mine except with 1 scoop only of whey.
    Now that I'm cutting I reduced it to 12g of malto and 12g of dextrose.
    I only have this though on weight training days.
    I also follow it up sometimes with 1/2 a large bagel with honey.. 1/2 hour later.

    On cardio days, I just have the carbs in musclemilk...
