Ok, while this is going on...

PLEASE STATE HOW THE READING WAS TAKEN... where in the vehicle, what device was used...

Just an FYI, the only bascially standardized way of SPL measurement is the

    TERMLAB Sensor

All other measurement devices or microphones are simply innaccurate, and cannot be used to uniformly compare scores. Once you get on the TL, you'll realize how hard it is to get loud... ;)

My highest personal SPL is 152.1 legal, on the dash, with the vehicle sealed up, dBDrag Street B style...

This was with a single RE Audio MT15 :)

you can get decent sound out of a convertible... you will probably need a port thru. we've had really good sound out of a wrangler so anything is possible

Highly doubt it... at all. The max on the dinky plastic mic is 135... lawl. Unless it's a traditional TL... not a TL Sensor like the Termlab USB or Termlab.net, even then I still doubt it... at all.

rolleyes = sarcastic, i don't doubt you. i just love when fanboys get defensive, and nothing can compare no matter what you say. personally i've only been metered on an audio control rta, and have no expirence with term-lab... but it's wayne, so who knows.

Post them right next to eachother...measure at the same time... and I won't have any doubts.

I don't mind being proven wrong, as long as there proof. ;)

Don't the ports change the tuning frequency of your trunk, effectively making it a bandpass enclosure?

better than no sound at all :o

kinda forced to have a wanabe bandpass when the top is down..

one of our customers came in today talking about the scosche meter(you can get it at wal-mart i guess.), and said him and his buddy tested their systems out. the guy with 4 P2 12's only got a 126.9 and the guy with the 2 tpye-r 15's only got 129.3... i highly doubt it's accurate.
