going shooting tomorrow.. going to a public range during daylight so I won't have any light control.. but at least it'll be daylight and I have a flash so I can shoot fast without underexposing

    30D + 50/1.4 + 580ex ii

    say 8000:1 :coolugh:

None. You're gonna need something faster than 1/8000 sec. to stop a bullet.

don't have to STOP it. I think at 1/8000 it's moving like 2"

problem, I think, is getting the right 1/8000 sec in the frame :o

of course even if it's ONLY moving 2".. doesn't mean you'll be able to see it :o

I wonder how fast a .22 round is.. maybe if the bullet is slow enough I might be able to get something

Woah.... I wonder what a long exposure of someone shooting full auto would be...

depending on the actual ammo between 1000 and 2000 ft per second at the muzzle and around 900-1300 fps @ 100yds

get a box of 22 shorts. they move a lot slower than even a normal 22lr round.

and that matters in this situation because?

When somebody looks at a picture, do they go "that camera didn't have a shutter"?

    :hsugh:

I think he is saying that it is capable of 60fps because it does not have a shutter... Not ripping on it.

If the 1200 FPS of that camera actually works, you could do some interesting slow motion stuff with it. In for videos of stuff taken with this camera when it comes out.

:hs: yeah, the high "shutter speed" is fully electronic, nothing mechanical to slow it down...

now I have a hang over too.. contagious? :noes:
