What are the odds a 12 or 13.3" MBP will be available anytime soon?

yah near the end when they upgraded the ibook. :wtc: I still purchased one anyway though, i honestly could not get over how beatiful the pb looks in my oppinion.. i kno i "wasted" about $300, but i also would like to use my pb in clamshell next yr, so its cool that i can do that without any hacks.. i also figured since i will keep this comp for 4 yrs (till im done with undergrad)..i just got what i really wanted.. :hs:

    have not regreted the purchase..:)

I don't think you understand. :hs:
According to rumors and what is thought what will happen is this..

    Macbook 13.3", ____"
    Macbook Pro: 15" and 17"

maybe there might be another size for macbook, but it seems like the lineup won't be like before where it was

    ibook: 12, 14
powerbook: 12,15,17 but rather as the one stated above.

atleast this is what i think it will be =) :)

**That is why people are saying it will be 1200 because it will be more comparable to the ibook...because no comparable 12inch like powerbook will be offered.

I don't think we'll see a 12" or 13" MBP anytime soon. I think the MBP line is done with the 15" and 17" models. I think we'll see a single MB (i.e. iBook replacement) at 13.3" widescreen, and I think we'll see it at $999 with a single core processor and shared video memory ( ).

I think you're right on with that, but I hope we get the option of a dual core :x:

I'm going to kill someone if we don't have the option for a processor upgrade to duo and the option for seperate video memory. The only reason i'd get an intel computer is to play CS.

    Thanks.

I think we'll definitely see an option for a Intel Core Duo in the MBs, but I think Apple will use the Core Solo as the base processor to get the price point to where they want it, just like they did with the new Intel Mac Mini. Probably a Core Solo at $999, and two faster Core Duos somewhere around $1299 and $1599 (my guess).

    if this is true... :wtc:

I guess it makes sense, the professional line in a 12" is really pushing it :hsd:

in that case, I don't think I'll get a macbook. I'll just get the most mileage I can out of my 15" PB and be happy with that :coold:

Yeah i have a offer for $1300 on my 12inch pb, and i'm wondering if i should take it since i won't be needing the comp over the summer, than buy the mackbook.. but i am afraid..cause if its a intel core solo, and if it has no seperate video card.. i would be extremly disapointed..espc if it doesn't the isight and front row are offered.. i am so confused and unshure of what to do =(

the battery power seems to be a bit low to on the 15inch compared to the g4, rite now i am very happy with my 5-6 hrs i get with my 12inch pb!
