A&P What are the best rechargable batteries for flashes?

    and how many shots can I expect from each charge?

    on a sb800 or sb600

    I'm in ur cube, eatin' ur wings!!
    I use Energizer 2500's... carry 3 full sets... once they get warm they are useless... switch them out for another set until the first cools off. about 160 shots or so.

    they are only 2000 MaH though.

    Their self-discharge rate is so much lower that you get to use more of the energy. I get 3-5x more shots on my eneloops than on my Sony 2500mAh batteries.

    I can't believe how good they are.

    My sb600 can flash forever without a recharge. I swear to god I almost forget it has batteries in it.
