Besides pushups crunches and box jumps, what other exercises can help benefit snowboard athlete. i've been snowboarding for a long time but never did any training other than riding on the mountain. big muscles alone wont make you a better snowboarder. its about fast reflex and jumping high.

Squats, deadlifts, unilateral leg exercises. I'm sure plyometrics would help a lot too.

Most of the good snowboarders that I know smoke a lot of weed and drink a lot of beer.

I'd be more interested in doing it for injury prevention. Being stronger is never going to make an athlete any worse at his or her sport either. It can't hurt.

I started working out to make myself more resilient from Riding injuries.

Anything to strengthen my legs has helped alot. Specifically teardrop area.

Other than that box jumps, and stretching, plyo, etc.

Yea, but are you any good? And I don't want to hear about how you can do black runs.

im ok. i consistently landed 15 footers all day on friday. attempted a 40' but wasn't going fast enough lmao. landed half way through before the landing but was able to ride it out

then again i ALMOST got a concussion on a small 5' table top the same day. end of the day must have been tired/drunk/not caring. landed backwards and hit my head really hard.

i'm more of a powder/cliff/chute guy then the park however

You may know this already but you are WAY better off over shooting a jump than landing it on or before the knuckle. Thats where some gnarly injuries happen for beginning park riders.

Just watch the damn olympics tonight before snowboarding. I bet you my fucking life they do some sort of montage of snowboarders training.

    Do everything they do.
