California people don't have to participate if you don't want to - there's like a 15,000 character limit on each post, I think :mamoru:

    In Ohio :

-If you have a CCW, you can carry on school grounds, but only if you're in the act of picking up or dropping off a student.

-I can open carry in Ohio, but when I get in my car, I have to unload the weapon and store it seperately from the ammo (unless I have a CCW). It is illegal to transport a loaded weapon (even in a locked case) unless you have a CCW permit.

  2. We have the same CCW - School thing here

Also, it's legal to own suppressors in WA, we just can't use them.

In SC one is allowed to carry a handgun concealed within a vehicle, no permit required.

assault weapon ban (various "evil" features)
approved handgun roster (companies have to pay for their pistols to be sold in CA)
    magazine disconnect on handguns
    lead ammo in hunting ban
    .50bmg caliber ban
belt ammo in links more than 10 rounds UNLESS IT WAS PUT TOGETHER BEFORE 12/31/99
if your license is suspended you have to pay the DMV fees before you can buy a gun (your purchase will be delayed)
can only buy one handgun every 30 days
if you have a registered assault weapon and die you can't will it to anyone in the state, you have to remove it from CA or destroy it

those are the pretty dumb ones

I was thinking about the school thing. My daughter's school is literally 2000 feet from my house, and I take her to school every morning. I was thinking, if she ever forgot something at home, and we didn't realize it until we were in the school parking lot, I would be breaking the law if I ran home to get it and brought her back, because I rolled through the lot without picking up or dropping off a student.

So what do you do if you're on your way to the range or transporting your firearms and you need to stop somewhere to eat or take a piss? Carry them in with you? :o

  9. My dad told me a story from his army days back in New Jersey. Back in the day the areas in the northern part of NJ were really "ethnic" that is to say, Italians kept to their neighborhoods, Puerto Ricans kept to their neighborhoods, etc... Well, he knew these 2 black guys that were in the army with him, and that one point they were allowed to travel with their M16s. Anyways, these black guys ended up in an Italian neighborhood, and they had their M16s with them. They decided they wanted to make a run to the liquor store. So, they get to the liquor store and figure that if they leave their M16s in their car there's a good chance they'll get stolen, so they figure the safest thing to do is bring the rifles in with them. So, imagine every stereotype you can about NJ Italian neighborhoods, and imagine people's reaction when 2 black guys walked into a liquor store in an Italian neighborhood holding M16s. Fortunately they weren't shot, but there was quite a scene until people realized that they were just there to buy liquor.

Oregon doesn't recognize other state's Concealed handgun licenses. They just voted to recognize some states on it and it got knocked down.

The 'gun show loophole' law is pretty fucking stupid. I can buy from a private party without a background check any place in the state except at a gun show.

No open carry allowed with or without a permit in Texas. We're working on it.

In NC, if the Governor declares a state of emergency, it is illegal to take a firearm from your home.

So, hurricane on the coast, illegal to carry in the mountains, 8 hours away.

the way the law is read, you can carry concealed on your person in your vehicle without a CHP but only inside of a school zone.

Wrong. Are you from WA state or are you just making this up?

The State Attorney General spelled out very, very clearly that "use" is prohibited. Mounting a suppressor is NOT use. A projectile has to pass through the baffles to count as use.

The law was poorly written. It was meant as an outright ban, but clearly dealers found a critical loop hole.

Furthermore, this retarded suppressor law doesn't have exceptions for LEOs... but the first time I shot suppressed rifles was with a a police officer at a public range.

AAC M4 2K, AAC Ranger, and some cheapo YHM rifle suppressor.

Got my first taste of suppressor gas blow back. The PRI gas buster doesn't do shit.

Ohio- If you insert a magazine loaded with more than 30 rounds into a gun it is automatically considered a "machine gun".
