my mom asked me to come up with some ideas for her Christmas party :o

so far I got Charades and a game I made up called Impersonations, where people go up two at a time and you're supposed to imitate other people at the party without giving names. I'm sure the shit will hit the fan with this one :mamoru:

    and also sock wrestling

My mom loves playing "catch phrase" with her friends.

I played "Apples to Apples" over at my sister-in-law's and had a good time. Seems like a good game for 4-8 people.

Came in here to post this. Apples to Apples is an awesome game if you have 4-8 people and can probably be played with more.

It doesn't sound like much fun, but it really is.

    5. Two Truths and A LIe - This New Year's Eve see how well you know your adult guests. Have everyone sit in a circle. Each guest should think of two truths and one lie. It is much more effective if the truths are somewhat outlandish and the lie is more believable. This makes it harder for the other guests to tell the lie. In tur, have each person tell their teo truths and a lie. The group gets to discuss the statements and has to guess which is the lie. The person then reveals the actual lie and the next person takes their turn.
