I haven't been in the market for a new lens in a while, this will be my first wide angle lense.

I guess there is that Canon 10-22 iirc, does sigma make a good (cheapter) counterpart?

The Sigma 10-20 is for cropped sensor cameras only and I think would be shitty on a full frame camera. :hs:

oh...in that case at least take a look at the Sigma 10-20. I just got mine on the weekend and love it.

I thought the 20d was fool frame for some reason...:dunno:

    I have a D70 so I don't really know a whole lot about Canon.

    shitma 10-20, tokina 12-24, canon 10-22

10-22 is exceptional. tokina is nice cause its a constant f/4. sigma is widest.

    Canon 10-22 or Tokina 12-24

They seem to deliver really well

If I was going to get one, itd probably be the Sigma 10-20.

Whatever the case, dont get the Canon. Its got the most visible vignetting, is the least sharp, and costs the most.

:ugh: the canon is pretty sharp

the one cool thing about the sigma is it will fit on a full frame dslr and the canon wont :hs:

Im not saying it isnt sharp...but testing shows it to fall short of what the Sigma does.
