    FUCKIN CHRIST!

When I got to the airport yesterday to leave chicago and come to Denver my tooth started buggin me. I figured it was a minor cavity that i had been putting off taking care of due to odd hours etc...

I get to denver and the pain in unbearable I get ahold of a Dentist and go in for an appointment this afternoon thinking ehh $200 bucks and a filling and I'm done.

Alas that is not how things went down. Turns out I need a root canal and possibly a 2nd one on the tooth behind it. So today I just had the first of 2 parts of a root canal that I will have to finish off when I get home on the 21st.

$333 dollars later My face is swollen and numb and more than half of my vacation money is as they say in france "Le Gone" and I still gotta pay my car note.

This sucks. I'm gonna have to swallow my pride on this trip and call home and ask my mom to deposit some cash for me (Can't deposit here no banks of my branch and no cash on hand to put in.) This sucks.

OH and the rest of the root canal will likely cost another $1200 - $1500 plus $200 for a crown.

    Gay as fuck.

Those tooth rapists are not covered under our health care unless you had a really cool one in Winnipeg, but if that were true people in Ontario would bitch a shit storm for the same thing.

I honestly can't complain. I have always gotten good doctors and surgeries I needed, but I'm not every Canadian. I work for FedEX right now and their dental and medicare package is up there with the government. We do have to pay it out the ass for pills, but I guess you guys do too.

I'm tryin. It took 4 or 5 hours for the novacain to wear off and when it did my jaw from hinge to front teeth and the teeth hurt like fuck. I took a vicodin which i was trying to avoid and still have a decent amount of pain, not as sharp as before but more consistant.

When it wore off I was like really cold and kinda shutting down from the pain. No talking, not totally functional felt like sleeping but wasn't. I actually was giving heavy thought to just goin in the bathroom and lieing down on the floor. It was weird.

Oh, ya it's definately not free, but no where fucking NEAR 200 bucks for a filling. I think we pay like 20 bucks or something like that. I know I pay 10 bucks for a checkup/cleaning.

And for pills, 85% of mine are covered. I was on a prescription that cost 130 each month, and I was paying 20 bucks. I don't know how you're paying out the ass for them... could be we just have a good insurance plan since my dad works for the government :dunno:

Not from my experience, and I've had my fair share of time in surgeries and prescriptions lol :dunno: How do you mean 'more fucked up'?
