Got bored of staring at the computer and it's nice outside (well, it started to cloud over when I got on my hike  ) but the weather was still great.

This area wasn't really well suited for a wide angle lens like my 10-20, but i still got some decent shots.

Nikon D50, Sigma 10-20mm w/ UV filter. Slight adjustments in Lightroom.

1)Just a cool shot of a strangely shaped rock:

2)A big crack through a piece of basalt:

    3)Petroglyphs:

    4)More Petroglyphs (deer or something)

    5)Bunch of glyphs:

    6) Looks like an alien :noes:

    7) Lizard getting struck by lightning, a man with a giant cock and an :o face

Yeah. The majority of the glyphs are from 1300-1600AD.

Like I said, the glyphs aren't really well suited for a wide angle lens :( Getting some closeups would be pretty badass.

Yeah, there is. I love it

This only took about 15 minutes to get to from my house too.

There are several places to hike within about 20 miles from me... then more all throughout the rest of the state.

    On board :mamoru2:

The flash only hits on my wide angle. I think my next purchase is going to be a 70-200 or a 70-300 and then after that it'll be an attached flash.
