Stone Zoo up the street from me here in Stoneham, MA. It's named after a guy, not the town.

I'm totally self conscious about taking photos in public, but I figured this was a good place to get over it as everyone would have cameras. I got quite a few keepers out of what I shot with most being tossed because of the fents screwing up the focus/subject (even on MF) or low light & quick, blurry animals.

Lenses used: Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 and Canon 70-300 f/4-5.6 IS on my XT.

    Flickr set: Here.

Wish there were more animals out, but I was there at opening time.

Yea. That was annoying me the whole time because the AF obviously was confused and my MF skills with moving animals is well....this was my first time experiencing it.

Wolfies were running around having little fights while I was there.

I watched some podcasts on the new features of LR 2.0 so I'm retweaking a few shots to utilize some of those. Plus some other things I found out.

It's a hell of a program. I might actually buy it if I ever sold anything to save up $300 for it. Seems to run better than Aperture did on my machine.

Here's a before & after of that leopard photo:

The glass had this weird blue haze over it. I'm not sure it was because of the sky because it was set back & in the shade. A CP might've taken care of it but the one I have is cheap and gives everything a harsh CA and a bit of a blur.

    RAW ftw.

^^ Might be our monitors, but looks like too much black. Almost like you went over it in india ink.

Got more of that blue tinge out and darked the shadows. If this was PS I'd have it out in no time, but I'm trying to learn LR as the problems arise.
