This is one of those guns I've always wanted growing up. This was the exact same gun as my uncle, whom I always looked up to owned. Same pistol he shot IPSC with in the late 80's/early 90's. Except in much nicer shape and isn't all hacked up. I'm thinking some nice Esmerelda Rose Cocobolo's is in order.

Pre Enhanced Colt MKIV Combat Elite. This was the gamer gun back in the day. I'm going to pick up a nice OWB leather holster and shoot some CDP with it. Slide and frame fit feels like it's on rollers. And it's absolutely cherry.

You need to get old school with the short shorts, long white socks, tight polo shirt, big belt buckle, and trucker hat. They you'll be looking real old school ipsc.

OMG dude, that's hilarious. It's like you knew him. You forgot the magnum PI shooting glasses and mustache.

I remember when he would send me to the store to buy him some beer when I was only 14. " hey boy, go buy da beers' " . I would drive his Monte Carlo and mess around with his Colt .44 Anaconda he had between the seats. :mamoru:

I'm on the fence. It's in such good shape and the breech is so clean and the frame is unmolested, you can tell it was hardly shot.

then again, it would come out so pimp. With me, it's always a possibility. :) Stay tuned.

It's not razor tight as my modern day fitted Dan Wesson, in terms of not even being able to pass dental floss through it. But given when it was made, it's amazing the level of handfitting that was afforded with the then prehistoric tooling, technique and machining of an 80's 1911.

    :)

It's not sloppy like my Springer, but still smooth as glass.

that's a beautiful gun. I'd hate to know how much it cost you. There were a couple Delta Elites in 10MM at one of the local stores that they wanted sub 1k for.
