Went to the store to buy a 50d - Came back with d90 - look a video clip

Or I didn't. Bud I did go to the camera store today to buy a hotshoe adapter and they had the new d90 instock, so of course I had to try it out. It's pretty nice. ISO 6400 is very usable. I've got a video uploading to youtube as well as fullsize images uploading to my ftp site as a .zip. Plz. hold while it upload.

Im sorry, but high ISO from any Nikon is not usable IMO. Its either full of noise (old Nikon) or full of plastic (new Nikon). Sure 6400 has no noise. Sure 12,800 on the D3 has no noise...BUT, it also has no detail. Might as well have painted a water color IMO.

I also have no use for a video feature. Im sure if my camera had it, Id use it to make little gimmicky stuff but it wouldnt be anything worthwhile.

Its not hate. I like the D3 and D700. I just dont like anything else they make really and I wish theyd work more on reducing noise at the sensor instead of reducing noise at the image.

No AF, 24FPS, no external jack for a mic, and you can only look at the LCD screen. Like I say, IMO, its neat but its still just a gimmick to me.

The D3 and D700 have the lowest noise sensors of any DSLR currently on the market. Period.

Damn adam, I expected more than that from you!!!

Say, weren't you debating the switch to a Nikon not even a month ago? And now you think their noise, or the lack there of, sucks? :hsugh:

Not to be condescending, but you ISO 6400 pics from the HS football game weren't exactly better than my D300, much less the D700 or D3. I still love you though, you goofy bastard!!!

Thats your opinion. I could run those through Noise Ninja and end up with the same result. The D300 is downright awful at high ISO when it comes to preserving detail and if you want to argue that, youre kidding yourself.

Also, as Ive said before, Ive thought about switching because I could potentially make money off of it. I can get the D3 for about $2000 less than what it sells for normally...

I rarely use my camera for anything high ISO, but I'm glad I have it. To your argument, I will say I haven't shot my D300 at anything higher than 3200, but feel free to go by my blog and check out the Bob Schnieder pics I did a couple of months back at 3200 ISO. All posted with very little pp, if any. Just cropping.

Should be on the second page I think!

Ive sat here in the store and compared my MkIII with a co-workers D300. Shes a Nikon lover and we banter back and forth all the time. Taking pictures in low light and high ISO, the D300 just doesnt hold up at ALL. It may have less noise overall, but it KILLS the detail. Ill take pictures next week if you really want to see it.

Your opinion is fine. I read what you have to say.

I agree with you on a lot. Until you start your canon vs nikon shit.

    then I laugh.

Not saying that you don't have some base of validity in your arguements.

But you come off as such a biased douchebag that no one with a brain of their own would ever pay attention to a word out of your mouth.

Listen to yourself. You sound like a fucking hippy complaining about George Bush.

That's expected from a Canon user. Biased to no end, the thoughts of superiority, and the blindness to the fact that technology is not based on what companies did 5 years ago vs. what's going on now... which in this case, canon has no major advantage anymore! :dunno:

My friend is the same way. Don't worry.

Im sorry but the D300 doesnt even stand a chance.
Also, it should be noted that either the D300 overrates its ISO or the MkIII underrates it.

Just look at the pictures. If you think the D300 does well at high ISO youre either blind, naive, only displaying pictures at 800x533, or not ever making reasonably sized prints.
