I went yesterday and blew off a few hundred rounds through the USP. This is 50 rds at 7 yds.

I decided to sell my Glock 27 so I'm just gonna let them do it for me. If they can't sell it in a week then I might try to sell it online. Anyway, when I went back to drop off my Glock I took the USP with me and shot some more. This is 50 rds at 15 yds.

and this is 50 rds at 25 yds

I still need to work at longer ranges but this is the first time I put 50 rds down range at 25 yards and kept them all on the paper so I was happy.

I miss indoor ranges for pistol shooting. Ours closed due to lead poisoning.
Good groups at the ranges you would have to use it at.

I pay $30 a month for mine. I get unlimited use and discounts on gun rentals, ammo and targets.

Because most civilian encounters that involve handguns are at 7 yards or less. It's not as hard to miss at that range as you think. Try unloading 15 rounds at 7 yards without taking the time to aim. I bet you don't hit with them all unless you practice a lot.

Then you must practice a lot.

I figure if I shoot defensively it'll be 7 yards or less. I can see the holes in my target from the firing line and work on correcting marksmanship problems. Perhaps when I'm a better shot I'll shoot further out more often, but for now it seems more efficient to shoot closer.

I probably shoot 10 rds at 7 yards for every 1 rd I shoot at 15 and 25 yards. When I can make a quarter sized hole at 7 yards with 100 rds regularly then I'll be happy.
