That is why I  my Glock 26 and use it as my primary carry gun. Also have a SIG P228 with night sights right next to the bed. :wiggle:

i'm contemplating selling my P228 to get a G17 or G19 with a 3.5lb connector and extended slide release...

does that make me a bad person?

The first is for the trigger I would assume, what's the purpose of the extended slide release?

The H&K USP I have (Var.1) is like that
You can cock and lock it, in SA, or you can use the Decocker and drop it to double action and keep the safety off(if you want to that is or on) and then soon as one shot is fired it goes into single action mode, or you can drop it again.

I usually carry it in DA/SA mode.

Congrats on playing with guns, good stuff eh?

    Yes! :squint:

I love my Glocks but it'd be a step down from the SIG for me. Don't do it unless you've shot the Glock a lot and know it's the gun for you. And you can only have one or the other.

All Glocks do is blow up.

All GSD's do is bite babies.

We need to ban both...for teh children.

Seriously, I'd get a P229 or P228 over the 226. I'm kinda losing interest in full size handguns though.

on glocks, the slide release is quite small... can make it difficult to operate.

On a reload, you should manipulate the slide rather than fuss with the slide release. That way your action is the same for any gun you pick up and it does away with the (slim) possibility of a slide release failure.

But I agree with your point all the same and installed the extended slide release for my Glocks.

:mamoru: Oops. Just read the context.

that is the exact reason I chose my springfield XD over the glock, they both shoot almost exactly the same, similar design etc, but the XD fit my hands better, and was much easier to operate :)
