Today's shopping mostly consisted of looking for a flip-up rear sight, which
    I found

    ARMS 40L.....tight fit but works.

Also picked up a Surefire Nitrolon G2 for $33, an AK74 knife for giggles, and
an extra ladder rail thing for the rail on my AR that's in the mail......

Idleprocess shopped too, but I'll let him whore his toy up.

I figured I needed something to compliment the Glock 17. A Glock 21 seemed like the ideal companion.

After growing accustomed to the proportions of 9mm, .45ACP seems ... huge.

Nice choice; I too just picked up a G21. And yeah, I was used to 9mm as well and 45ACP looks ginormous by comparison.

The gun was literally "new out of the box" when I took that photo. It had barely even been fondled at that point.

Perhaps you've seen the older-generation grips?

Here's the first thing I could find for the second-generation G17, which is pretty much the same as the rest of the Glock line:

+1 I just looked at a 21 the other day and the grips didn't look like that...they almost seemed greyish black and smooth where as those look very dark shiny black and shaped differently...
