"Hi, want to buy a glock for $659?"

Only found 2 good deals...Saiga Russian Made AK, but it didn't take normal AK mags without some sort of mod..

    And a mossy 500 w/ pistol grip for 229

    didn't get either one :hs:

Had fun anyway, fondled lots of stuff..including like 20" s&w .460 mag perforance center

i went to the gunshow w/ Mike today...i too, saw the same shit he did and have to say most of the prices were laughable.
the only stuff i bought were ammo and a magazine.

12 ga Winchester Ranger 00 buckshot & rifled slugs: 2.75/box
i bought 3 boxes cuz the people tending the booth seemed like nice folks and the price was damn good for ranger ammo.

I also bought a D&H teflon-coated 30rd AR mag that came w/ a Magpul follower pre-installed for 20 bux! I almost talked the guy down to 18 but his boss caught him b4 he could fall for it haha.

other than that it was 5000 overpriced guns in questionable shape
    :o

If you don't get there early you probably won't get a good deal on a gun. They're out there, though. My buddy went to the last one the morning it opened. He found a Colt 1911 for $179. It was brand new. Apparently they forgot to put another 1 in front of the price :mamoru:. Apparently it was an assisstant that sold it to him because noone even questioned him about it.

I talked to two old guys about the gun shows and they said you have to get their right when they open to get the good deals.

At our gun shows, I seem to get better deals when it's almost over, cause they don't want to pack the shit back out to the truck.

Do you try to haggle with the people or just look at the price tags?

I bring money with a plan if I see a good deal to just buy it. I've never brought money and tried to haggle at a show before. Never really gone to a show looking for something specific.

Fat Lazy gun dealers 400 guns and 100 degree weather with 98 % humidity = good deal 1 hour before show ends.

I check the price, then ask them what the price is. They'll almost always tell me a lower price than what's on the tag, then I'll usually try to get it $25 under what they tell me. Seems to work pretty well most of the time.

You can haggle with some people. Others are total dicks and won't budge on their prices. Then there are the guys that just start out with good prices.

I almost bought an XD 9mm Tactical with 3 mags for $375 a couple of shows ago. It was slightly used but there was no wear on the finish or anything.
