went to another abandoned place today. An old science laboratory. we tried to go last week but cops came so we tried again this week and were able to go inside. we didn't really disect this place like i wanted to because we were tresspassing and wanted to get in and out as quick as possible. I hope to go back again with the knowledge i have now. (ride bikes and bring them inside instead of parking the car in an obvious place) cops did come but had no clue we were there. we started walking out the front door and i saw them so we hurried out the back way we came in and got in the car and got out of there. all in all it was a good time but i would still like to go back to experience it more. sorry for the rambling, enjoy the pics. :cood:

Paint map for reference from my story, lol.

the B&W and the last image really pop to me. I think they're great shots.

yeah i regret no being there longer but we were walking a thin line with the adjascent building being the current science labs and workers there we were running a high risk, plus the cop so we were pretty lucky, but as a photographer i was limited and hated it :o like i said i want to go back.

what happens if you get caught and you said you were just an interested photography student or somethin?

that was the plan... "i'm in a photography class for school sir and this building is very interesting"

plus we had nothing on us and its not like we were going to destroy anything, its all been destroyed already.

not true but a good story. Had photo last year and it was B&W 35mm class. not D-SLR photo. lol.

I like the last shot of the hallway  Theres a lot of shit to explore in jersey I'm jealous if you ever want to make a trip to PA I got a place you would probably have a blast shooting.

As for getting caught the cops would probably search your bag then tell you to leave, long as you arent causing trouble and vandalizing the place they usually dont care they're probably more worried about your safety in a building thats falling apart.

That last pic is very nice ... you have a lot of potential in thoes pics ... but please hold your camera straight. The angles take a lot away from the pics

ya sorry about that, i was kinda angry at myself that i didn't take ones straight as well. i was trying something different and didn't compensate with shooting like i normally do. :hs:

maybe he will bring an easle and actually paint the object, instead of painting on the object, lol. suprisingly enough there was no graffiti in this place. all the other places have had it like crazy.

Just call and ask for permission. they will prolly have you sign a waiver.

I get into all sorts of neat places legally just by making a simple phone call to the property owners, and acting professional, explaining that I want to take artistic photos of the abandoned sites.

I have been in the tunnels under Flint (conect every building in downtown, they are OLD brick tunnels used for mail/trash pickup etc. way back in the day) Been in the capitol theater in flint (beautiful building) I am currently working on getting into the United Artists theater in detroit. The interior of the theater is simply amazing and very very intricate. I can only imagine what it was like back in the day.
