Started riding last summer on a little Blast, and loved it. Was ready to get something a bit bigger this year and was planning on getting an SV, but with gas prices it turned out quite difficult to find one. I called 7 shops in the area, and no one had any 650cc or smaller bikes besides a few 600ss's.
Started looking at these Ninja's and found a single one left around, an 07 that never sold. So far I love it, I really like naked bikes but have found the fairings on this pretty useful. It's considered a sports/tourer so it's got pretty decent power but is also comfortable for longer rides.
Very good all around use bike imo.

Still breaking it in so haven't gotten a chance to really flog it, just cleaned the chain and changed the oil for the first time today.

    Moved up from this

Blast to a Ninja 650r? Should def. be more powerful, and I really like the looks of the 650r, esp. in black.
    Nice bike for sure

I like the black too, looks cool with the red frame. I don't mind the red though, maybe it will keep a few drivers from tagging me.

It's actually a fun bike cause it's so damn light and flickable, gets crazy good gas mileage too. Wasn't meant for long highway rides though.

I like the 650r's, just not the bars on them. They look goofy.

I can't find any used ones or 07s sitting around, so i'm looking an a black 08, eventually replacing the red wheels with black ones :o

lime green looks  too. how much did you end up getting it for?

6 grand, they were only willing to take 600 off and since it was the last 650cc bike around...... I took it.
