Just got the base 13 inch model. I'm a student so I got the iPod touch too. Total came to $1407.68 after the discount and with the touch (which I'll get refunded for soon). I'm going to sell the touch on eBay and my old MBP, after all of that I'm hoping to have the cost only be ~$200 out of pocket, maybe even break even.

I'm going to upgrade the RAM to 4 GB's from crucial for $65, and then possibly do a hard drive upgrade to a 7200rpm 320GB (only $100).

Pretty pumped :run:. This is my 3rd Apple Computer, started with an iBook G3 in 2002, then a 15inch MBP in 2006. Also got my sister to get a white Macbook and my parents an Intel Mini.

Apple has way too much of my money :hsd:

Damn this computer is fast :noes:. Just starting to transfer over all of my stuff, but man.

I can't imagine it with 4GB of RAM, bitch will be screaming (although I haven't done much multi-tasking yet).

I am so tempted to make the jump to a macbook pro from my current macbook. I might put some ads out as testers to see how much i can get for this.

What macbook do you have? As dazed said, people are stupid on eBay. If you have a newer-ish MacBook and are a student, you could probably do the upgrade and have it cost you around $200ish total. Do what I did and get the free touch, sell it on eBay/Craigslist, and then put your computer up for sale.
