Just loaded 50 rounds of match .308.

I got the Lee Anniversary kit which is great, particularly if you are loading in single stage and weighing each charge by hand.

    Anniversary kit - $80 with book http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=820810
Cheap electronic scale (works pretty good) $25 http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=713372

    Lee Deluxe Rifle 3-Die Set 308 Winchester $25 http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=148525
Lee Case Length Gage and Shellholder 308 Winchester $3.29 http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=271467

    100 Lapua brass cases :eek3: $50 http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=187523
    100 Sierra Match King bullets $26.49 http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=347244
    IMR 4064 1lb powder $20
    Large rifle primers $dunno

Total $229.78 or $2.30 per round for the first 100 rounds, the next hundred will only cost ~$0.30 per round and if you figure 5 reloads with these cases (should be easy) then I'll have paid $0.80 cents per round (500 rounds) including all my equipment vs. $0.64 cents for winchester from aim surplus. This is for rediculous match ammo sized for my rifle. :coold:

    congrats!

It wont take very long at all before that press is paid for itself as mine has!

I'd also suggest a kinettic bullet puller. Saves the day plenty of times for me.

kinetics suck, especially with lead tipped bullets. It's a lot less mess/hassle if you get a turret mounted collet puller like the hornady lock n load or something of that nature.

    harold,

    we could have reloading parties.

except that my gun stuff is all in a hidden room adjacent to my bedroom.

well, maybe that's not so bad.

I'd love to reload, but I sold my AR15... and no longer need to reload a bunch of rounds.

I should really start reloading. I'm such a lazy bastard though, and it's intimidating to start.
