Damn this thing is a monster in weight and size compared to the F4. They are both non-IS.

I'm bored at work, on the verge of falling asleep so I'd figured I'd post.

I give myself 5-600 to spend on photo gear a month :hs:.

Obviously, but I'm going for what fits within my budget :o.

Own, operate, and serve legit vehicles.

As for selling the F4. It'll come with a Hoya intro kit with 67mm UV, CPL filter, pouch and box for $525 shipped.

why do you need to get into photography then? seems you have a lot on your hands?

and if you are an owner, your budget should be enough for an IS

    amirite?

I've been into photography for years, it's nothing new to me. I've had an old school 35mm Minolta SLR, "point and shoots", "wannabe" DSLRs, and a 20D which I sold along with one of my motorcycles to fund my 5D. Photography is just one of those things I can always have until the end of time.

As for the IS, of course the it is better but it's an extra ~$1000 on top of selling my F4. So I rather spend $500 more and gradually move up and learn to appreciate the IS. If I were careless about spending, I'd buy an IS. But I can't justify it at the moment, so I'm content with my non-IS.
