love the 2nd one. it looks like you could've taken an great pano from the top of that trail, assuming that the other people wouldn't bug you for a while and just let you shoot. :o

wow, i'm surprised that many of you guys like #2. I thought it was pretty good, but nothing too special :)

Yeah, since there was such a large group of us, we were to busy taking pictures of eachother at the top that i didn't think to do a pan from up there. Would have definitely been awesome.

I have a pretty simple gear set up.

    #s 1, 2 & 7 were shot w/ my SD870is

The rest were shot w/ my 10D:

    #s 3, 4, 5, & 8 using a 17-40mm L and #6 w/ a 50mm 1.8

some of the shots in the flickr set also include the use of a 28-135mm IS

haha cool, the truth behind it is there wasn't any real emotion other than her just being cold and staring at the camp fire. But the smoke and the headwrap give it a much more serious feel. haha

Sure, i'm not sure where the full trail starts, we just did the end of the trail that leads up the rock (Moro rock is the name of it.) To get there drive to the Giant Forest Museum, which is about 17 miles up the hill from the park's south entrance. When you get to the museum you'll find signs that point down a small road on your right that lead to Moro Rock. Drive about a mile and you'll see the small parking lot and the beginning of the steps.

    thanks :bigthumb:
